Eileen R. Flory, 88, of Defiance, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015 at The Toledo Hospital. She was born on August 20, 1927 to Carl and Gertrude (Bauer) Engel in Defiance. Eileen was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. In 1947 she married Victor L. Flory, who proceeded her in death in 1989. Eileen owned and operated Eileen's Beauty Shop in Defiance. Eileen is survived by her daughter, Holly (Glen) Frederick of Defiance, and two grandsons, Glen Frederick, III, and Victor Lee Frederick. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Gertrude Engel, and husband, Victor L. Flory. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 am on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home, with Rev. Donald L. Luhring officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
