Earl G. Butcher
Earl G. Butcher, 70, of Defiance, died peacefully on Saturday, December 11th, 2010 at home after a long illness.
He was born in Maxine, West Virginia on March 14, 1940, he was the son of the late Harry and Opie (Perdue) Butcher
In 1960 he married Margaret Fodor, who survives.
He was a retired General Motors millwright, a U.S. Navy Veteran, and a born-again Christian.
Also surviving are a son: Joe (Loretta) Butcher and a daughter Jennifer Butcher of Defiance,
three sisters: Peggy Foster of Peytona, West Virginia, Anna Faye (Jack) Castleberry of Zanesville, Ohio, Linda (Dennis) Stringer of Elyria, Ohio,
brother: Donald Butcher of Westborough, Massachusetts.
three brother in laws: James (Margitta) Fodor of Warner Robins, Georgia, Alexander (Pat) Fodor of Defiance and John Fodor of Cummings, Georgia.
He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 22 nieces and nephews.
A private family gathering was held Tuesday, December 14, in the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home with Rev. Burnell Hammons officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Joe Butcher, Joseph Butcher, Daniel Butcher, Mike Miller, Randy Stearns and Tom Vargo.
