Earl G. Bohn, 82, of Defiance, passed away on  March 20, 2014 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.

He was born on January 1, 1932 to Louis and Alice (Shumaker) Bohn in Defiance.  On June 22, 1952 he married Eva (Bauer) Bohn.

He attended Zion Lutheran Church.  Earl was a US Army veteran serving in Korea from 1952 to 1954.  He was a life member of VFW Post 3360.  He was a past Guard Lt and a press operator for Campbell Soup Company 34 years retiring in 1994.  Earl enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, hunting and baseball.  He was also an avid gardener..

Earl is survived by his wife, Eva Bohn, sons, Steve Bohn of Defiance,  Dan (Marianne) Bohn of Defiance, Marty Bohn of Defiance, Dean (Heidi) Bohn of Defiance, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, brother, Chuck (Judy) Bohn of the State of CO. and a sister, Delores Zachrich of Napoleon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Terri Edds, sisters, Noreen & Gloria Bohn in infancy, brothers, Rollen Bohn in infancy and Louis Bohn Jr..

Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2014 at Schaffer Funeral Home,  Defiance.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at the funeral home with Dr. David Zachrich officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery where VFW rites will be accorded by VFW Post 3360.

The family suggest memorials be given to VFW Post 3360 or to the Defiance County Senior Center..
