E. Joan  Schlosser, 75, of Defiance, passed away on  Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Brookview Healthcare Center in Defiance, Ohio.

She was born on April 7, 1941 to George and Agnes (Brown) Kittle in Weston, West Virginia. She graduated from Defiance High School in 1959.  On January 10, 1962 she married W. Thomas Schlosser at St. John Catholic Church by Monsignor John Vogel.  Joan was a member of St. John Catholic Church and was active in the Altar Rosary Society. She worked at Keck's Market for 15 years. Joan loved her family and especially her grandchildren.

Joan will be sadly missed by her family; her loving spouse of 54 years, Tom Schlosser of Defiance, daughter, Lisa Long of Paulding, 4 Grandchildren; Travis Cantrell, Dustyn Cantrell, Vanessa Cantrell, and Dylan Long, 3 Great-grandchildren;  Breanna, Dominic, and Megan Cantrell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Chris Schlosser, brother, Paul Kittle, and sister, Sandy Dockery.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, August 8, 2016 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at St. John Catholic Church, Defiance, with Fr Eric Mueller officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
