E. LoAnn  Peters, 89, of Defiance, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, November 6, 2018 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born on December 17, 1928 to Ernest and Almeda (Hire) Bistel in Defiance. LoAnn was a 1945 graduate of Ayersville High School. On June 11, 1950 she married Merle Peters, who preceded her in death on August 25, 2001.

LoAnn was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church. She loved to do crafts, and she was a collector. Lo Ann is survived by many good friends and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Merle Peters. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 10:00 am, until her funeral service at 11:00 am at Zion Lutheran Church in Defiance. Pastor Timothy Reynolds will officiate the service. Entombment will follow at Riverview Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be given to Zion Lutheran Church, or Friends of Felines.
