Douglas Eugene White, 56, Defiance, Ohio, passed away on Monday October 15, 2018 in his home surrounded by family. He was born on August 4, 1962 in Hicksville, Ohio to Fred and Lousie (Oberlin) White. On June 23, 1984 he married the love of his life Patricia Ann (Morawski) White in Oakwood, Ohio, she survives. Doug and Pat have four surviving children, Mark White, Defiance, Jamie (Darshan) Panchal, Defiance, Jennifer Iiams, Defiance, and Fred (Mellissa) White, Defiance.  Grandchildren include, Marie Iiams, Miley Iiams, and Evelyn White. He is also survived by three sisters and one brother, Debra Sherry, Marsha Reynolds, Lora Jones, and Daniel White. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, brother Mark White. He retired from Campbell soup in 1996. He spent his retirement teaching his children life skills he felt they needed to survive. Doug was a family man. He would do anything he could to help a family member in need. He was always there for anyone that needed to talk. His greatest joy in life was meeting his grandchildren. They were his reason to keep fighting.  Watching Evelyn take her first steps, Miley's first day of school, and Marie riding a bike without training wheels for the first time. Those were the most important and special moments in Doug's life. The family will be having a small memorial celebration on October 27, 2018 from to 2 to 4 pm at the Willow Room at 1971 S.
