Douglas A. Reineke, age 70 of Defiance, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024 at The Laurels of Defiance. He was born on November 9, 1954 to the late Karl and Mildred (Rymers) Reineke in Defiance, Ohio. Doug was a graduate of Defiance High School and a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He worked for Dinner Bell Foods for several years until his retirement. Doug loved to play tennis and owned The Racquet Club in Wauseon. He was a tennis coach at Defiance High School and enjoyed teaching professional tennis. Doug is survived by his brother Roger (Marilyn) Reineke of Cincinnati, Ohio, two nieces and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Cathy (Ripke) Reineke, and two brothers, Gary and Greg Reineke.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Schaffer Funeral Home, with Rev. Tom Zulick officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Zion Lutheran Church, or CHP Defiance Area Hospice.
