Douglas K. Eshem, Jr. Douglas K. Eshem, Jr., 56, of Defiance, passed away Saturday, October 15th, 2011 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. He was born in Portsmouth, Oh. on October 7, 1955, he was the son of the late Betty G. (Adkins) and Douglas K. Eshem Sr. who survives, of Defiance Doug had been employed at several area factories. He had lived in Florida several years and went to Florida last year for a visit. He loved loud rock and roll music. Doug adored his nephews and nieces. He loved his family. Besides his father, surviving are four sisters: Judy (Michael) Sholl of Defiance, Marilyn Clay of Defiance, Janet Showman of Defiance, Barbara (Randy) Clady of Defiance and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Betty who died May 28, 2011 and his brother Donald who died in 2007. Doug's service's will be at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home at 12:00 on Tuesday, October 18th. Friends are invited to call Tuesday 11-12 before services. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Suggested memorials are to the CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
