Dorthea "Dot" Marie (Morrow) Baldwin, age 85 of Defiance, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. She was born on August 18, 1936 to her parents, Harry and Ruth (Klingler) Morrow. Dot was a 1954 graduate of Paulding High School and worked as a legal secretary for 45 years for Attorney Wilmer Rekeweg in Paulding, Attorney James Hitchcock in Defiance, and UAW Legal Services of Defiance. Dot was a devout Christian and a member of the Church of the Nazarene throughout the entirety of her life. She was an active and faithful member, serving as a Sunday School teacher, Caravan leader, church secretary, and a leader of the prime timer's group over the years.

Dot absolutely loved attending church, going camping, scrapbooking, reading, and spending time with her family and friends, all of whom will miss her tremendously. In her spare time she also enjoyed playing the organ, watching tennis, and taking trips to Southern Ohio with her brother, Larry. Her loved ones will remember her as an upstanding woman who was unbelievably patient and kind, an incredible mother and grandmother, and a friend to all.

She is survived by two of her children, Jeff (Denise) Baldwin of Defiance and Todd Baldwin of Napoleon, her five grandchildren; Adam (Jessica) Jones, Elijah Jones, Trisha Baldwin, Brooke Baldwin and Jenna Baldwin, her great-grandson, Benjamin Jones, and her brother, Larry Morrow of Defiance. She will also be greatly missed by her best friend since the 6th grade, Carol Pracht. Dot was preceded in death by her daughter, Jill (Bill) Wolfe of Lima, and five siblings; Louise Detmon, Bill Morrow, Hod Morrow, Phyllis Simmons and Colleen Tanner.

Please join us in honoring her memory. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at the Church of the Nazarene in Defiance. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 at the church, with Rev. Donald Leonard officiating. A meal will follow the service. Dot will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Defiance.
