Dorothy A. Rothenberger, 90, of Defiance, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance, Ohio. Dorothy was born on June 23, 1925 to Clarence and Bertha (Rost) Lesh in Defiance. She was married to Ralph Kinner, who passed away in December of 1972. On  -- she married Norm Rothenberger, who proceeded her in death in 2000. Dorothy worked at Campbell Soup Company in Napoleon for several years, retiring in 1986. She was a past president of Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion Post #340 Holgate, and she volunteered for many years at Friends of Felines Rescue Center in Defiance. Dorothy is survived by her son, Keith Kinner, and daughter, Linda Rodriguez, both of Defiance, 27 Grandchildren, 47 Great-grandchildren, 16 Great-great-grandchildren, sister, Kathleen Ensign of Defiance, stepson, Daved Rothenberger of Williams Center, and stepdaughters, Bonnie Phillips, Joyce Karr, and Carolyn Schudel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Bertha Lesh, sons, Terry Kinner and Larry Kinner, and sister, Marjorie Oelfke. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at the funeral home with Rev. Theodore Rellstab officiating. Memorials are suggested to Defiance Area Hospice.
