Dorothy M. Herr, age 94 of Defiance, went to her home in Heaven on April 25, 2026, with family by her side. She was born on February 23, 1932 to the late John and Helen (McKellips) Trubey in Defiance. She was a 1950 graduate of Defiance High School. On September 26, 1953 she married the love of her life Bernard Herr.

She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and she cherished time with family, enjoyed home making and walking at the mall.

Dorothy will be missed by her children Craig (Jeanne) Herr of Union City, MI, Bernie (Dixie) Herr and Susan Herr of Defiance. She also leaves behind grandchildren Casey (Gary) Grant, Eric Herr, Kyle Herr, Jonah (Anna) Herr and great-grandchildren, Colton, Ethan and Delaney Grant, Jack Herr, Maggie and Luke Herr.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bernard in 2022, and her sisters, Marge Smart, Betty Belden, Ethel Schroeder, and Pearl Powell.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 2nd at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Moser Road, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11:30 am with Fr. Melwin D'Souza officiating. Dorothy will be laid to rest at Riverview Memory Gardens.
