Dorothy Ann Coressel, 89, of Defiance, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Brookview Healthcare Center in Defiance, OH, with her loving family by her side. She was born on July 4, 1930 to Bernard and Lucille (Reed) Gutman.  On June 24, 1950, Dorothy married Albert Coressel who preceded her in death in 2016.  She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Defiance as well as VFW #3360. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, bingo, cards, camping, and spending time with her family that was so very dear to her. Dorothy is survived by her adoring children, Albert Michael (Linda) Coressel, Steven (Cindy) Coressel, Kenny Coressel, Nancy Gray, Tom Coressel  Defiance, and Barb (Robert) Bentley Bryan, 11 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert L. Coressel, son Don Coressel, daughter Mary Jane Schroeder, parents, sisters, Marion "Did" Mekus, Margaret "Peg" Coressel and Patricia Morgan, and brothers, Robert and Richard Gutman. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, with a Vigil Service at 4:00 pm, and also from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am, on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Defiance, with Father Randy Giesige, officiating.
