Dorothy M Collins-Jackson, 90, of Defiance, OH passed away on Monday, January 6, 2014 at Glenn Park, Defiance.

She was born on July 10, 1923 to Ira and Lotta (Hawks) Beach in Maple Grove, MI.   Dorothy married George F. Collins and he passed away in 1982.  She then married W.T. "Bud" Jackson in 1994 and he passed away on April 19, 2011.

She attended the Albright  Business School & she worked at Kellogg's.  Dorothy loved doting upon her children & grandchildren.  She also enjoyed reading, antiques, sewing and making dolls.  During WWII she served as a riveter and welder.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Sally (Dennis) Peterson of Sun City West, AZ, Joe (Charlene) Collins of Sparks, NV, Kay (David) Patrick of Versailles, KY, Valerie (Michael) Quinn of Delton, MI, Jan (Roy) MacDonald of Defiance, OH,  Bill (Shelly) Jackson of Erie, CO, Terry (Barbara) Jackson of Littleton, CO, Dale (Jennifer) Jackson of Nashville, TN, Bonita Jackson of Wheatridge, CO, Penny (John) Dreisbach of Reno, NV, 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews, brother, Ira (Beverly) Beach and her little dog, Toto, too.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, George F Collins,W.T.  "Bud" Jackson and a sister, Marlea Sullivan.

Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2014  at Schaffer Funeral Home,  Defiance, OH.

Burial will be at a later date in Battle Creek Memorial Park, Battle Creek, MI

The family request memorials be made to the Kidney Foundation or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
