Doris M Chenhall, 99, of Defiance, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022 at her residence. She was born on November 6, 1923 to Roy and Marie (Hatfield) Snodgrass in Paint Lick, Kentucky and grew up in Terre Haute, Indiana.  Doris met her husband, Robert W. Chenhall while dancing in a ball room event. They were married in 1948.  Together they enjoyed ball room dancing and even went to New York City where they danced on TV. She was a member of St Paul United Methodist Church, Defiance and a former member of the Kettenering Golf Club where she would run the Guys & Dolls Tournament.  Doris was an avid card player and played Bridge all the way until the end. Doris is survived by her sons, Mark Chenhall and Brent Chenhall both of Denver, CO; her grandsons  Robert, Daniel and Spencer Chenhall and  Brandon and Nathan (Ashlee) Ripke.  Also surviving are her great grandchildren, Cole, Raelynn and Madison Ripke. She was preceded in death by her parents: husband, Robert W. Chenhall: son, Craig Chenhall; and her brother, Dale "Jitterbug" Snodgrass. Visitation will be held Friday, December 30, 2022, from 11:00 am  to 1:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc., Defiance, Ohio.  A funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor John Schlicher, officiating.  Burial will take place in the Riverside Cemetery.
