Donna Jean Moore, 78, of Defiance, passed away on  Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Hospice of NW Ohio in Toledo, Ohio.

She was born on September 5, 1937 to Alvin and Ruth (Ludlow) Davis in Belmore, Ohio.  She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Defiance. In 1956 she married Darrell W. Moore, who preceded her in death in 2002. Donna worked at Koester Corp. in Defiance, full-time for 20 years, and part-time for 6 years. She enjoyed playing cards, spending time with family, and her beloved pet, Molly.

Donna is survived by her sons, Douglas Moore, and David (Dana Zanville) Moore, all of  Toledo, Ohio, foster son, Garry Olney of Los Angeles, California, grandchildren; Brent, Collin, Hope, and William Moore, great-grandchild, Declan Moore, and sister, Carol (Paul) Zimmerman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Darrell W. Moore, brother, Donald, and sisters, Itha, Pauline, and Norma.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 pm on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance, and for one hour prior to services at the church. A Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 29, 2016 at St. John United Church of Christ in Defiance, with Rev. James Brehler officiating.
