Donald Hill Donald Hill, 86, of Defiance, Oh , passed away Friday, January 8th, 2016 at Autumn Court Care Center in Ottawa, Ohio. He was born in Dickson County, Virginia on November 1, 1929, he was the son of the late William J. and Verca A. Newberry Hill. Don served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He married Gennabee (Stiltner) Hill on Nov. 15, 1950. She died Aug. 31, 2005. Don was an auto mechanic for many years. He then worked as a mechanic at G.M. Central foundry for 17 years retiring in 1978. Don was a member of the American Legion and a life member of the North American Fishing Club. He really enjoyed fishing. He attended Faith Tabernacle. He is survived by his son Larry (Lois) Hill of Defiance, Sisters: Jerolene Mullins of Grundy, VA, Joy (Kenneth) Gibson of Lucas, OH. daughter in law Debra Hill of Frostproof, Florida, brother Jesse (Linda) Hill of Defiance. Don is also survived by 4 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife Gennabee, son Barry Hill, sisters Jenny Reliford, Joyce Hill who died in infancy and brother in law Tommy Mullins. Services will be at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home 1753 S. Clinton St. Defiance, Oh. at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 14th. Visitation is Wednesday 3-5 & 6-8 p.m. at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home.
