Donald L. Boday, 77, of Defiance, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at CHP Defiance Area Hospice Inpatient Center, Defiance, OH. He was born on September 15, 1938 to Martin and Arleta (Hohenberger) Boday in Defiance Hospital.  On September 16, 1960 he married Ruth Smith, who survives, together they celebrated 55 happy years. Donald was an Automatic Tapper at Defiance Stamping Co., also a telephone lineman for the Ayersville Telephone Co., and previously worked at All-Star Products in Defiance.  He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, enjoyed running and collecting H-O scale model railroading, woodworking, camping, and seeing his grandchildren, which was his pride and joy.. Donald is survived by his loving spouse wife, Ruth Ann Boday, and their 2 adopted children, daughter, Mary (Tony) Ruhe of Defiance, OH, son, James "Jim" Boday, State of FL, 3 Grandchildren, Caleb and Carley Rankin, Brandon Boday, 3 Great Grandchildren, Lily, Chloe, and Cheyenne Rankin. He was preceded in death by his parents. Don's wishes were for private graveside services and burial held at Riverside Cemetery, Defiance, Ohio, with Rev. Donald L. Luhring, officiating, and everyone wearing blue jeans and a comfortable shirt. Memorials are suggested to the St John Lutheran Food Bank or Ravens Care of Defiance in the care of St Mary's Catholic Church..
