Don Eitniear Earl "Don" Eitniear, age 78, of Defiance, Oh , passed away at 4:35 A:M , Wednesday, March 25th, 2009 at New Haven Harborside Care and Rehabilitation Center in New Haven, In. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 3, 1930, he was the son of the late Earl B. and Gertie (Regnold) Eitniear. Don was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. A life member of the Defiance Eagles, and a social member of the V.F.W., and Am Vets. He was a member of U.A.W. Local # 638. He married Joan (Williams) Eitniear on March 31, 1962 and she died Dec. 11, 1989. Don was retired from Defiance Precision Products. Don loved being with family and friends. He enjoyed cooking and fishing. Surviving are a daughter: Peggy (Leo) Klatt of Janesville, Wis.. and a son: Thomas (Cheryl) Eitniear of Ft. Wayne, Ind., 3 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by a brother Kenneth. Service at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home, at 1:30 P:M on Saturday, March 28th, with Rev. Donald Luhring officiating. Friends are invited to call Friday 2-4 & 6-8 at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home. Interment at Riverside Cemetery. Suggested memorials are to the church or the donor's choice.
