Dixie Lee Davis, 83, of Defiance, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Twin Rivers Care and Rehabilitation Center in Defiance.

She was born on June 11, 1934 to Paul and Verla (Weisenburger) Brand in Defiance. She was a 1952 graduate of Defiance High School. Dixie was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She worked for the City of Defiance in the Water Department for 17 years, and at General Motors for 17 years, retiring in 1987.

Dixie is survived by her son, Craig Davis of Defiance, and stepsister, April (Tom) Elgin of Delphos.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 3rd at Schaffer Funeral  Home, with burial to follow the service at Riverside Cemetery.
