Dixie I. Blazey, 82, of Defiance, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at her residence. She was born on February 1, 1941 to Harvey and Ruby (Armstrong) Keller in Madrid, Nebraska. Dixie was a 1959 graduate of Defiance High School and worked at Champion Plastics in Bryan, Ohio.  She then worked at General Motors Powertrain in Defiance. In 1987, she graduated as an LPN from the Toledo School of Practical Nursing and worked as an LPN in various nursing facilities in the Toledo and Defiance areas.

Dixie was a member of Defiance Christian Church in Defiance and UAW #211. Dixie is survived by her daughter, Vicky (Morehouse) Magee of Issaquah, Washington and her husband, William Magee and their children Bryce and Reagan Magee, and her sister, Barbara Cantrell. She was preceded in death by her parents.

There will be no visitation or services. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the Defiance Christian Church.
