Dianna L. Batt Dianna L. Batt, 55, of Florida, Ohio , passed away at 11:40 p.m. , Friday, June 7th, 2013 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born in Hicksville, Ohio on September 11, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Louise (Baker) Williams. Dian was the former owner with her husband Steve of the Miami-Erie Market in Florida, Ohio. In addition to her love for cooking she had also worked for the Campbell Soup Co. and the Filling Home of Mercy in Napoleon. She was a member of St. John's Cathodic Church. Dian, a 1975 graduate of Tinora High School, married Steven Batt March 6, 1999. She is survived by her husband Steve, children; daughter Denna Wann of Defiance, son Dennis (Tania) Wann of Defiance, son Chad (Lindsey) Carpenter of Grover Hill, son Todd Carpenter of Paducah, Ky., son Lynn (Christina) Carpenter of Defiance, daughter Stacy Batt of Defiance, daughter Kim (Dan) Bischoff of Napoleon, daughter Heather (Tim) Davis of Holgate and daughter Dr. Jessica Chaudary of Lake Charles, La. sister Janice Sue Layne of Georgia, brothers: Lawrence "Seb" Williams of Georgia, Phillip Williams of Georgia and sister Rosemary "Rose" Sweet of Cecil. She was grandma to 21 grandchildren. She also loved her dogs Tootsey and Lola. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Clero and Glenn Williams and two grandchildren. Her family gave her much comfort and joy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John Catholic Church, Defiance, at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11th, with Father Todd Dominique and Father Anthony Batt officiating. Her wish was to celebrate her life. Come help us celebrate Dianna's spirit and life Monday 2-8 at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home 1753 S. Clinton St. Defiance.
