Diane Lynn  "Dee"  Ussery, 61, of Defiance, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at her residence. She was born on May 3, 1954 to John and Dorothy (Radabaugh) Barker in Defiance. Diane worked for 27 years as a hair stylist at JCPenney. She loved music, dancing, and gardening in her flower and vegetable gardens. Diane enjoyed riding motorcycles and being outdoors. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities. Diane was a fun Grandma. Diane is survived by her son Brad (Stacy) Ussery, daughter, Mandy (Christopher) Hoover, 6 Grandchildren; Shane, Emma, and  Rylee Hoover, Logan, Katlynn, and Brody Ussery, brother, William (Cathy) Barker, and sister, Sandy (David) Kroeckel, all of Defiance. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Barker and Ernie and Dorothy Black. Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 28, 2015 at the Church of the Brethren in Defiance, with Pastor Gene Yenser officiating. Memorials are suggested to the family.
