Dennis E. Mast, age 60 of Defiance, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Mercy Defiance Hospital. He was born on December 1, 1963 to Dennis and Mary (Eitniear) Mast in Defiance, Ohio. Denny graduated in 1982 as an honor student from Defiance High School. On December 7, 1996 he married Rhonda (Booher) Mast, who survives. Denny was a Golden member of Defiance Eagles #372. He worked for over 43 years as a body technician. Denny was a devoted husband, a proud father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and was a friend to everyone. Denny will be greatly missed by his family and many good friends. He loved his babies (dogs) Macy and Molly. Dennis is survived by his loving wife Rhonda Mast of Defiance, his son, Jamie (Kimberly), seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, his sister, Melissa Mast, and several other family members and friends that were very dear to him. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Cheryl Mast, and his beloved dog Emma Jean. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Defiance Eagles, 711 W. Second Street in Defiance, with Pastor Janet Strickland officiating. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the family.
