Dennis "Denny" J. DeSota, age 61 of Defiance, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 in Defiance. He was born on April 28, 1960 to Joseph and Donna (Howard) DeSota. On September 20, 1986 he married the love of his life Joan (Wirick) DeSota, who survives. He worked at Titan Tire in Bryan until his retirement in 2010. Denny loved many things such as spending time with his family and friends, visiting swap meets and car shows, attending auctions, and hunting morel mushrooms. You could always find him in the garage tinkering or in the woods wandering. He was a collector of many things, but most passionate about his tractors. Denny will be sadly missed by his loving wife Joan DeSota of Ney, his two sons, Travis DeSota and Justin (Kristie) DeSota, all of Defiance, two grandchildren; Benjamin DeSota and Mackenzie DeSota. He also leaves his mother, Donna (Howard) DeSota, brother Rick (Barb) DeSota, and sister Sharon Adair, all of Continental, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Joseph DeSota and his brother Kenny DeSota. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 27th, 2022 from 2:00-7:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 28th at 11:00 am at the funeral home, with Pastor Isaac Shelton. Burial will follow the service at Ney Cemetery.
