Delila "Joann" Ruch, 80, of Defiance, passed away on  October 18, 2014 at the Defiance Regional Medical Center.

She was born on December 7, 1933 to Lyman Sr. and Bertha (Brown) Roehrig in Defiance County. On  August 18, 1951 she married Larry A. Ruch who preceded her in death on August19, 2011.

Delila was a homemaker and a member of the Family Christian Center, Defiance. She enjoyed her flower garden, sewing, crafting, and square dancing.  She also enjoyed mushroom hunting with her husband.

Delila is survived by her sons, Allen (Tina) Ruch of Huntertown, IN, and Terry (Pat) Ruch of Defiance, OH, 4 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, a sister, Thelma Carnahan of Defiance, OH and a sister in law, Paula Ruch, Wauseon, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Lyman, Jr., Jesse, and James Roehrig, and a sister, Helen Moore.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2014, 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc., Defiance, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, 11:00 am at the Schaffer Funeral  Home, Defiance, Ohio, with Rev. Tim Tracy, officiating.

Burial will take place in the Riverview Memory Gardens.
