Delaine L. Ballew, 54, of Defiance, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio.

She was born on May 2, 1962 to Paul Sr. and Patricia (Dhaenens) Reader in Bryan, Ohio. On May 5, 2001 she married Timothy J. Ballew, who resides in Defiance. Dee enjoyed cooking, playing the piano, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Dee will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Timothy J. Ballew of Defiance, son, Alexander F. Davis of Holgate, stepsons, Justin Ballew of Spokan Valley, Washington,  Jeremy (Alichia) Ballew of Coos Bay, Oregon, daughters, Andrea Davis, and Susan Davis, both of Defiance, stepdaughters, Kristen Bixler of Portland, Oregon, and Kayla (Zeke) Hyde of Lima, Ohio, 11 grandchildren, sisters, Lori (Dennis) Harrison, and Val (Phil) Hagelberger, all of Bryan, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Paul Reader, Jr., and grandson, Anders Yaichner.

Funeral services will be private.
