Debra S. Sherry, age 58 of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at her residence. She was born on September 21, 1963 to the late Fred and Louise (Oberlin) White in Hicksville, Ohio. On January 15, 1982 she married Jeffrey Sherry, who preceded her in death on July 31, 1997. Deb worked for several years at CCNO as a Correction Officer, as a nurse's aide at Gardens of Paulding, and she also worked at Air-Way Manufacturing in Edgerton, Ohio. She enjoyed crafts, watching movies, and spending time with her family. Deb is survived by her son, Joshua (Diana) Sherry of Fort Wayne, IN, her daughter, Angie Stewart of Gloucester, England, six grandchildren, her brother, Danny White, and sisters, Tammy Travis, Lora Jones, and Marsha Reynolds. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey Sherry, and her daughter, Amanda Owidi. Friends may visit the family from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance, Ohio. A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 pm at the funeral home, with Celebrant Deb Miller officiating. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society.
