Daxton Robert Ankney, silently entered this world on  June 7, 2019 at Promedica Defiance Regional Hospital. Daxton is survived by his parents, Cassandra D. Rocha and Allen M. Ankney, his  2 brothers, Drake and Braydon Ankney all of Defiance, OH.  His loss will also be felt by his grandparents, Angie and Kris Casey and Paula Ankney all of Defiance, OH, his great grandparents, Ron and Diane Emerlng of Defiance, OH, his great-great-grandmother, Joann Deitrick of Defiance, many aunts, uncles and cousins, beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dennis Ankney, great great grandfather, Robert Deitrick, great great great grandparents, Daniel Sr. and Marie Hostettler. A private graveside service was held on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, in Riverside Cemetery, Defiance, Ohio, with Pastor Boyd Shuggert, officiating. The family wishes to offer a special "Thank You" to all the doctors, nurses, and staff of Promedica who cared for Cassie and Daxton, as well as to Sufficient Grace Ministries for your compassion.

Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, was in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the Diabetes Foundation.
