David W. Wolff, age 68 of Ayersville, passed away on Friday morning, April 19, 2019 at Mercy Defiance Hospital. He was born on July 9, 1950 to Gerald and Rosemary (Bower) Wolff in Defiance County, Ohio. David proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. On January 17, 1986  he married Debra (Bolley) Wolff, who resides in Ayersville, Ohio.

David was a member of Pleasant Bend United Methodist Church. He worked for over 26 years at Campbell's Soup Company in Napoleon until his retirement in 2014. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and especially family time. David will be sadly missed by his loving wife of  33 years, Debra Wolff of Ayersville, daughters, Barbara (Terry) Ross and Tina (Allen) Hawkins, three sons, Steve Wolff, Adam Wolff, and Shawn Cass, 9 grandchildren, and his sister, Linda (Bob) Urton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Kittle and Helen Finch, great-grandson, Jesse Taylor, and two brothers, Robert Wolff and Richard Speck. Visitation will be held from 3-6 pm on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service with military honors will follow at 6:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, with Pastor Jim Brown officiating. Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
