David A. Riggenbach, age 74 of Defiance, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born on December 16, 1947 to the late Clarence and Ruth (Thompson) Riggenbach in Paulding, Ohio. David was a 1966 graduate of Paulding High School. He worked for over 44 years at General Motors in Defiance until his retirement in 2009. He was a member of Defiance Moose Lodge #2094 and Paulding Eagles. David enjoyed singing, gospel music, and riding his motorcycle.

David is survived by his children; Tricia (Benjamin) Sheets of Holgate, OH, and Bryan (Brenda) Riggenbach of Defiance, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brother, Denny Riggenbach of Ft. Wayne, IN, his sister, Marlene (Joe) Wannemacher of Wisconsin, and his girlfriend Linda Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, James Riggenbach, and sister, Judy Speiser-Hanneman.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 2:00 to 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. There will be no funeral service.
