David 'Country' L. Williams David 'Country' L. Williams, 62, of Oakwood, OH, passed away Saturday, November 14th, 2015 suddenly at Paulding Hospital E/R. He was born in Napoleon, Ohio on August 9, 1953, he was the son of the late Donald F. and Mary E. (Woodward) Williams who survives him of New Bavaria. Dave just retired from John Manville in Defiance after 43 years in July 2015. He enjoyed computers, reading, woodworking, building, fixing and growing things, crocheting, traveling, animals especially cats. He was a member of the Local 54 Union, bowled in a Defiance Recreation league, rode motorcycles and also enjoyed old cars. A 1971 graduate of Holgate High School and a former 4 H member. He was confirmed and married in St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Holgate. 'Country' especially liked helping people. He was the husband of Patty (Anderson) Williams, whom he married August 12, 2007. He will be greatly missed by his wife Patty, mother Mary, Step Son: Martin Williams of Paulding, Sisters: Kathleen Williams Bathurst of New Bavaria, Linda (Warren) Dickey of Napoleon, Joan (Russell) Game of Iron Mountain, MI Brother: Steve (Jacque) Williams of Warren, OH He is also survived by 1 grandson. Preceded in death by his father Donald, daughter Faith Anna Noel Williams and a sister Susan Williams. Visitation is November 19, Thursday 2-7 p.m. at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home 1753 S.
