Dave A. Kieffer, 82, of Sherwood, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at his residence.

He was born on August 23, 1934 to Alvin and Bertha (Kremmel) Kieffer in Dequesne, Pennsylvania.  On August 1, 1970  he married Barbara (Sprow) Kieffer, who resides in Sherwood, Ohio. David's greatest passion was helping children at the Tijuana Mission.

David is survived by his loving spouse of  46 years, Barbara Kieffer of Sherwood, and will be greatly missed by his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Alvin, Vincent, Edward, Regis, Bud, Jerome, George, and Tom, and sister Gert Bertok.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Defiance. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 am at the church, with Rev. Joe Payne officiating.
