Darwin  "Pete"  Heller, 65 , of Cecil, passed away on Thursday,  December 29, 2016 at the Toledo Hospital.

He was born on June 2, 1951 to Davon "Pete" and June (Belden) Heller in Defiance. Pete earned his Associate's Degree, and worked as a Paramedic for Middleton and Tontogany.  He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, VFW Post #5665 in Sherwood,  Eagles Post  #372, Elks Lodge #147, and Moose Lodge #2094 in Defiance. Pete was a huge Detroit Tigers fan, and will be remembered by so many good friends for his contagious smile and wonderful sense of humor.

Pete will be sadly missed by his mother, June Heller of Cecil, son, David Heller of Defiance, grandchildren, Nichelle Heller and Daija Heller, brother Doug Heller, and sister Debra  Heller-Ebaugh.

He was preceded in death by his father, Davon "Pete" Heller.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, January 2, 2017 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at St. John Lutheran Church in Defiance, with Rev. Donald L. Luhring officiating.
