Final obit.Pending Darris A. Hamm Darris A. Hamm, 79, of Defiance, Ohio , passed away Thursday, August 18th, 2016 at Glenn Park of Defiance. He was born in Coeburn, VA on November 8, 1936, he was the son of the late Albert and Amy (Lawson) Hamm. Darris served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Second Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, blue grass music, bowling and CB radios. In 1971, he married Beulah (Smith) Hamm who died June 27, 2014. He had worked as a millwright at GM Central foundry retiring in 1993. He will be missed by daughter: Viviane Bush of Defiance sons: Stanley (Sherri) Hamm of Napoleon, Daniel Hamm of Napoleon, Jerry Hamm of Napoleon, Kevin (Cecilia) Hamm of Ft. Myers, Fl step daughters: Judy (Dan) Hohenbrink of Continental, OH, Janet (Mark) Bezruczko of Defiance. Sisters: Joyce (Larry) Koon of Marietta, OH, Kay (Don) Meade of Virginia, Iris Eddy of California, Jane (Larry) Reeves of Virginia, Myra (Warren) Simmons. Brothers: Albert 'Glenn' (Lisa) Hamm of Virginia, Winfred (Ruth) Hamm of North Carolina He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Doug Hamm, Vincent 'Dale' Hamm, Tom Hamm, Kenneth Hamm and sisters: Norma Meade and Phyllis who died in infancy, Services at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home 1753 S. Clinton St. Defiance, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 22nd, . Visitation is Sunday 2 - 8 p.m. at Lawson-Roessner. Entombment will be in Riverview Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
