Darrell Jones peacefully entered heaven on March 15 at 92 years young.  He was preceded in death by the love of his life, wife Hazel; parents, Anna (McKibben) and Earl Jones; brothers Rolland, Frank, Marvin, and Keith; sister Mary (Brown).

Cherishing his memory are his son, Scott (Joellen) Langdon; daughter, Rexann (John) Wagner; and grandson, Jeff (Melanie) Beverly, and many nieces and nephews.

Darrell was known and respected for his devotion to the students and families of Central Local Schools and for his community service as Defiance County Commissioner as well as his participation and contributions to many organizations over the years.  He was a lifelong member of the Mark Center United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 25 from 2:00 - 8:00 at Fairview High School. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 26 at 2:00 at Fairview High School with interment at the Sherwood Cemetery following the service.  Memorials may be made to Ft. Defiance Humane Society, the Fairview High School library, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
