Daniel F. Lauro, 73, of Bryan, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Promedica Defiance Regional Hospital.

He was born on September 3, 1943 to Francis and Edythe (Wadsworth) Lauro in Detroit, Michigan. On February 13, 1976 he married Jan (Farquharson) Lauro, who resides in Bryan.

Daniel was a member of Union Chapel Church of God in Bryan. He earned his Degree in Chemical Engineering from Bowling Green State University, and was an engineer with Zeller Corporation in Defiance. He enjoyed flying with his wife in her plane, and outdoor activities.

Daniel is survived by his loving spouse of 41 years, Jan Lauro of Bryan, sons, Daniel J.Lauro of Dayton, and Kristopher Lauro of Houston, Texas, and grandson, Wyatt Lauro.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edythe and Francis Lauro.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on Monday, March 27, 2017 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A Graveside Funeral Service will follow at 5:00 pm on Monday, March 27, 2017 at Evansport Cemetery, with Rev. Eric Lightner officiating.
