Daniel J Delarber, 81, of Defiance, passed away on October 13, 2014 at the CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center, with his family at his side.

He was born on April 14, 1933 to Joseph and Ruth (Kleinhen) Delarber in Defiance, OH. In September of 1954. he married  Betty Lou Mast. Daniel and Betty lived in Defiance, Ohio.

Daniel spent his life farming, gardening, and hunting. He particularly enjoyed caring for his cattle and showing Pulled Herefords Cattle with his father.

Daniel is survived by his children; Mary Leaders, Daniel Delarber, Jr., Judith Sands, Jeanette Steinke, Ruth Delarber, Loretta Mock, David Delarber, Dennis Delarber, & Chris Recker, 12 Grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, siblings; Mary Crist, Virginia Wilhelm, Fran Mack, Anna Cavanaugh, Lawrence Delarber, & Madonna Robbins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Betty Lou Delarber, daughter, Kathy Sue Delarber, brothers, Paul & Bob Delarber, and a sister, Gert Hoschak.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 16, 2014, from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc., Defiance, Ohio. A Rosary Service will be held at 2:30 pm on Thursday.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 17, 2014, 10:00 am at the St. John Catholic Church, with Father Todd Dominique, officiating.

Burial will take place in the Riverside Cemetery.
