Obituary

Dale Marvin Sebring, age 70 of Bryan, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born on August 20, 1954 to the late Marvin and Patricia (Colegrove) Sebring in Wauseon, Ohio. Dale was a 1972 graduate of Fayette High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1973-1977. On September 5, 1998 he married Sherry (Frisby) Sebring who survives.

Dale worked as a salesman for several years at J.T. General Store. Following in his father's footsteps he was a radio announcer at WZOM Radio Station. He had great adoration for The Ohio State Buckeyes and was an avid sports fan of any kind. Dale loved watching the 2024 Tinora Girls Volleyball team tournament run, and was the "Unofficial Adopted Mascot".

Dale is survived by his loving wife Sherry Sebring of Bryan, his daughter, Annette (Jeremy) Williams of Stryker, three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his siblings, Christine (Brian) Core of Sherwood, Richard (Laura) Sebring of Defiance, Steven Sebring of Toledo, and Michael (Kerry) Sebring of Defiance.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Melinda Sebring, and brother, Ray Sebring.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home, with Celebrant Deb Miller officiating. Military honors will be performed by VFW #3360.
