Craig L. Smith Sr., age 64 of Defiance, peacefully passed away on  Monday, August 15, 2022 at Laurels of Defiance. He was born on January 31, 1958 to the late Leroy and Mary (Hook) Smith in Defiance, Ohio. Craig worked for several years in the landscaping industry. He enjoyed listening to and playing music, and was a huge fan of NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt Sr. Craig is survived by his children; Craig L. (Samantha) Smith, Jr. of Payne, OH, Tabatha Keen of Bucyrus, OH, and Lacie Smith of Paulding, OH, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and three brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. There will be a graveside service at Riverside Cemetery at a later date. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
