Craig Allen Bishop, 57, of Defiance, passed away on  Monday, October 14, 2013 at his residence.

He was born on March 7, 1956 to Daniel L.and Betty J. (Smith) Bishop in Bryan, OH.  On May 14, 2012 he married Ellen (English) Bishop and she survives.

Craig was a US  Army veteran serving as a medic in the 3rd Division from 1980 to 1984..  He was an employee of Sauder Manufacturing, Archbold, OH.  Craig loved the outdooors and was an avid hunter and fisherman..

He is survived by his wife, Ellen, father, Daniel L of Bryan, sons, James (Sarah Colclasure) Bishop of Bryan, CollIn Bishop of Defiance, daughters, Elizabeth Saylor of CA, Sarah Dyess of Defiance, granddaughter, Dacey K Bishop, grandson, Wyatt Johns, sistes, Pamela Bishop of Bryan, Dina (Michael) Culler of Bryan, sisters-in-law, Vicky Lotz of TN, Bernadette Bokerman of AZ, niece, Salli Jones of Fairborn, OH, nephews, Nicholas Jones of Bryan, Sean Culler of Bryan, Bernie Jones of Bryan,  Sam Culler of Bryan, Ryan Bokerman of AZ, Brentan Bokerman of AZ, and his faithful dogs, Bandit & Tawny.

He was preceded in death by mother, Betty J Bishop.

Visitation will be held from 12-1pm, Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Defiance Christian Church with memorial service being held immediately at 1pm with Rev. William Mesaeh, Jr. officiating.

Memorials are suggested to Defiance Hospice or to the Humane Society.
