Cora M. Reiner, 91, of Defiance, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 24, 1935 to the late Walter and Norma (Pratt) Howell. In 1971 she married Moury Reiner who preceded her in death on August 25, 2001. Cora was a faithful wife, mother, and grandmother who treasured her time spent with her family. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafting and planting flowers.

Cora is survived by her loving children, Anna-Marie "Teen" Mudel, John (Lisa) Mudel, Dawn (Jeff) Greunke, and Debbie (Randy) Richard. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sons, Jim Mudel and Steve Reiner, and sisters, Mary Kyle and Phyllis Wendt.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home South, Lawson-Roessner Chapel (1753 S. Clinton Street) in Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 19th at the funeral home. Cora will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery.
