Connie Sue Engler, 72, of Bryan, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on April 1, 1950 to Earl and Cora (Demland) Grant in  Ney, Ohio.  In 1986, she married Lonnie Engler who preceded her in 2012.

Connie enjoyed farming and spending time outside in nature.  She will be greatly missed by her family. Connie is survived by her children, Mark Schafer,  Heather Flory and Shane Flory all of Bryan as well as 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and her sister, Betty (Larry) Zeller of Dayton, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; her sisters, Beverly A. Miller, Doll Kay Nihiser, Burnadette Grime and Virginia Coressel and her brothers,  Darl, William, Wayne, Charles, James, Lowell, Allen, Thomas, David, and Jay Grant.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 6, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc., Defiance, Ohio.  A funeral services will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio, with Celebrant Deb Miller, officiating.
