Connie Bennett age 70 of Defiance went to her heavenly reward October 4, 2013. She was born August 11, 1943 in Findlay, Ohio to the late Alfred and Helen (Gross) Ruck. She married Wayne Robertson in 1963 and he passed away in 1995. She married Kenneth Bennett in May 1991 and he survives. She is survived by her children Jeffery (Beckey) Robertson of Niagara Falls, Ontario and Scott (Patti) Robertson of Defiance. Connie was an EMT for Medivan Ambulance Company and a faithful member of Peace Lutheran Church in Defiance. She loved to go motorcycle riding with her husband on the weekends. Connie is survived by her husband Kenneth Bennett, four grandchildren: Joshua, Kristen, Jeffery, Courtney and two step-grandchildren Lauren and Jenna She is also survived by two brothers Jim (Lois) Ruck of St Marys, Ohio and William (Carol) Ruck of Miller City, Ohio and a sister Sharon (Ron) Meyer of Napoleon, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Karl Ruck. TO MY SISTER SHARON, First of all it's hard to put into words how to thank you for all of the years that you helped me. For all of the fun gambling getaways at 4 o' clock in the morning (those were the best ones) All the lunches and doctors appointments you so thoughtfully ran me to without question. You have done so many things for me over the years that I cannot thank you enough and you never complained once. God bless you for being with me for all these years, I Love you, Connie. Visitation for Connie will be held at Peace Lutheran Church (State Route 66) North, Defiance) Monday October 7, 2013 from 9:00 - 11:00AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM at the church. The Rev. Fred W Balke will officiate. A graveside service will be held at a later date, at the McCauley Cemetery Defiance, Ohio. Suggested memorials are to Defiance inpatient Hospice, The Alzheimer's Association and Peace Lutheran Church. Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
