Clytie M. Brown Clytie M. Brown, 83, of Defiance, passed away Wednesday, October 21st, 2015 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born in Saltillo, Mississippi on October 25, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Willis D. and Jetty Berthay. She was the wife of Chester Brown Sr. whom she married Feb. 14, 1956. Clytie had worked at at Ohio Art in Bryan for 30 years. She was a charter member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and a charter member of the Second Baptist Church. She will be missed by her husband Chester, her son Chester Frank (Sandy) Brown Jr. of McClure, a sister Janice (Jack) Davis of Baldwyn, Mississippi, 2 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by a brother Eugene Berthay, sisters: Frances Hutchinson, Nell Bridges, and Sandra Berthay who died in infancy and a step grandchild. Services at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home 1753 S. Clinton St. Defiance, at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 27th, with Deacon Jeff Mayer officiating. Friends are invited to call Monday evening 6-8 p.m. at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ayersville Cemetery.
