Cletus C. Siler
Cletus C. Siler, 92, of Defiance, passed away Thursday, May 1st, 2014 at the Kinsgsbury House in Defiance.
He was born in Paulding County on June 5, 1921, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Margaret M. (Weber) Siler.
Clete was a member of St. John Catholic Church and a World War Two veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Japan and the Philippines. He was a farmer and owner/operator of a farm.
He married Ethel L. (Bushong) Siler who died Aug, 15, 2002.
Surviving are sons: Richard (Sue) Siler of Defiance,
Gary (Tina) Siler of Defiance
Six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ethel, sisters; Marcella Hedrick, Beatrice Lloyd, Verona Hohenberger, Dorothy Varner and a brother Victor Siler.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John Catholic Church at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 5th, with Father Todd Dominique officiating.
Friends are invited to call Sunday 2-8 p.m. at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home with a vigil service at 2:00 Sunday.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery where VFW Post #3360 will conduct honorary military graveside rites.
