Clayton C. Albus, 77, of Defiance, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio. He was born on May 15, 1938 to Arthur and Maybelle (Robertson) Albus in Defiance, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1963. Clayton worked  for ITT Higbie in Archbold for 27 years. He was a member of Moose Lodge #2094, and AmVets #1991 in Defiance. For the past few years, Clayton was a resident at Brookview Healthcare Center in Defiance. Clayton enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, playing horseshoes, and word search puzzles. Clayton is survived by his daughters, Lori Landwehr Adams of LaPorte, Texas, Jennifer Albus of Toledo, and Becky Albus (John Rodriguez, Jr.) of Wauseon, Ohio, sons, Mark Albus of Violet Hill, Arkansas, and Chris Albus of Fremont, Indiana, 8 Grandchildren, and sister, Ardis Bergman of Defiance. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Patricia Albus in infancy, and brothers, Paul Albus and Arthur Albus, Jr. Visitation will be held  from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance.  Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon. Military Honor Guard service by AmVets Post #1991.  Burial will follow at St. Stephen's Catholic The Bend Cemetery in Delaware Township. Memorials are suggested to the family.
