Clarabelle Zwiebel age 88 of Defiance, Ohio, formerly of St Mary's, Ohio, passed away August 14, 2010 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born in Auglaize County, Ohio on November 2, 1921 the daughter of the late Gilbert and Florence (Croft) Ice, St. Mary's, Ohio. In 1943 she married Willis "Bud" Zwiebel, who preceded her in death in 1996. Clarabelle worked at the St. Mary's School System in food service. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. Surviving are a son Lawrence (Vicki) Zwiebel of Defiance and a daughter Darlene (Gary) Gossard of Van Wert. A Brother Gilbert "Bud" Ice and a sister Izeta (Bill) Fulton both of St. Mary's, Ohio. She was preceded in death by two brothers Don and Denzil Ice and three sisters Virginia (Richard) Heintz, Betty (John) Finke and Roselda Ice. Services will be held at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home at 11:00AM Monday August 16, 2010. With Pastor Donna Stutzman, Hospice Chaplain officiating. Friends are invited to call Monday from 9:30AM -11:00 AM at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home, 1753 S. Clinton Street, Defiance, Ohio. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta, Ohio.
