Christine Lynn Jones, age 70 of Defiance, peacefully passed away on Tuesday evening, March 28, 2023 at Kingsbury Place in Defiance, Ohio. She was born on October 30, 1952 to the late David and Catherine (Shemansky) Slavik in Brownsville, Pennsylvania. She was a 1971 graduate of Avon Lake High School. Christine was married for several years to Robert Jones who preceded her in death. She worked for United Airlines for 30 years until her retirement. She enjoyed reading and was passionate about her dogs. Christine will be sadly missed by her sisters, Diana (Brian) Zipfel of Defiance and Micky (Bob) Miller of Avon Lake, OH, and her brother, David (Teri) Slavik of Westminster, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Robert Jones. There will be no visitation or services. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
