Christie M. Price, 46, commonly known as "Boog" by her close friends and family, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 in Traverse City, Michigan. She was born on December 6, 1976 to Michael and Connie "Sue" (Kelble) Baumle in Paulding, Ohio. Christie was employed at Royal Farms, Inc., in Ellsworth Michigan. She loved music, especially Pearl Jam and Eddie Vetter, was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, and all things outside in nature.

Christie loved to cook and was an accomplished baker at Royal Farms. She was a loving mom to her daughter Luci, who was her pride and joy. Christie enjoyed going to Luci's activities, or planning special times with her playing in the snow, going to the beach, or doing crafts with her. Christie had a beautiful smile, a great sense of humor, and was a kind and caring friend. She had an energetic and mischievous spirit. Christie was a 1995 graduate of Wayne Trace High School where she excelled at basketball, and terrorizing her teachers. Christie is survived by her daughter, Luci Price of Elk Rapids, MI, her mother, Connie "Sue" Baumle of Defiance, nephews, Kaison Schaffner of Archbold, OH, Michael and Joseph Baumle of Napoleon, OH. Also among survivors are her special friend, Ben Draper of Elk Rapids, MI, her lifelong friends April Litzenberg, Kiley Flaugh, Rachel Head, Shawna Litzenberg, and Nikki Worrell, and her fur baby Mika. She was preceded in death by father, Michael Baumle, brother, Kelly M. Baumle, and her grandparents. A celebration of Christie's life will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024, with visitation from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm with a service following at 4:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Pastor Tim Manzer will officiate.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the ICU and 5th floor staff at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, MI for the wonderful care Christie received, to her employers, Patrick and Sara McGuire for the love and support they gave her, and to Pastor Tim for the hospital visits and traveling to Ohio to conduct the services.
