Cheryl J Johnson, 61, of Defiance, passed away on  Wednesday,  December 5, 2012 at Promedica Defiance Regional Hospital.

She was born on November 6, 1951 to Bill and Frieda (Boaster) Emerling in Defiance, OH.  She married Sidney Johnson in 2006 and he survives.  Also surviving her are her sons, Todd Johnson of Defiance, OH,  Timmy Johnson of Defiance, OH, daughters, Holly (Boy friend - Jason Morris) Emerling of Defiance, OH, Tina Johnson of Defiance, OH, Stepsons, Scott Johnson of Defiance, OH,  Steven Johnson of Defiance, OH, Stepdaughters, Dawn Perez of Defiance, OH,  Lisa Smith of Defiance, OH, granddaughter, Katie Johnson, 13 step-grandchildren, 12 step great grandchildren, brothers, Ronnie (Diana) Emerling of Defiance, OH,  Dick (Cheryl) Emerling of Paulding Co, OH, and a sister, Gloria Hostettler of Defiance, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Gene & Larry Emerling, sister, Dana Rodriguez, and grandchildren, Todd, Jr. & Hunter Johnson.

Cheryl was a homemaker and enjoyed hanging out at Tom's Donuts.

Funeral services will be Monday, December 10, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio with Rev. Perry Porter officiating.  Burial will follow in Evansport Cemtery.

Visitation will be  from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
